Population density by provinces

The table includes annual province-level information on population density since 2007. Population density is defined as the population per square kilometre and is calculated by division of the population size by the surface area in square kilometres. In the calculation of population density indicator, the land surface area excluding “inland water bodies (natural and dam lakes, rivers and continental shelves, etc.)” is used in accordance with the international definitions.
