Number of households by type and provinces

The table includes annual information on the total number of households and the number of households by type at the provincial level since 2014. Household is defined as a person living alone or a group of persons residing in the same address, with or without any kind of kinship. Persons living in collective living quarters (institutional place, worker dormitories, guesthouses, hotels etc.) are excluded. This definition is based on the international household-dwelling concept. Household types are broadly categorized as "One-person households", "One-family households", "Extended-family households" and "Multi-person no-family households".
