Average size of households by provinces

The table contains annual information on average household size at the provincial level since 2008. Household is defined as a person living alone or a group of persons residing in the same address, with or without any kind of kinship. Persons living in collective living quarters (institutional place, worker dormitories, guesthouses, hotels etc.) are excluded. This definition is based on the international household-dwelling concept. Average household size is obtained by dividing the total household population by the total number of households.
