The table contains information on the population of province/district centers and towns/villages by sex for Türkiye total starting from 1927. Information for the 1927-2000 period is provided based on the traditional population censuses of which the first one was conducted in 1927, subsequent ones were conducted in every five years between 1935 and 1990, and the last one was in 2000. Annual information from 2007 onwards is from the Address Based Population Registration System (ABPRS) results.
